Tails of the City Exhibition: Visitor Comments

Did you go to the Tails of the City exhibition? Do you remember seeing the Visitor Book? Following are just a few of the colourful comments people wrote in it.

Our dog can play Mr Wolf (she's the wolf).

We used to have a goat named Ruby, she used to think she was a person. Dad and her used to play hide 'n' seek around the trees on our property.

In my family we have many pets including two adventurous cats. Our youngest cat Tigger bolts down our wooden boards and does a massive skid down the whole corridor. Tigger also runs up our gauze door with plenty of pace and grips onto the gauze and does a full somersault off it and runs away  and comes back and does it again! Thanks for reading! Louis, 12, Dubbo, NSW.
Jody, our Border Collie/Kelpie disgraced herself one day in the car as we drove to a friend's place. On the back seat was a large spinach and fetta pie that was to be part of a luncheon. Jody was in the back of the station wagon and jumped into the pie with both front legs.
We patched up the pie as best as we could and it was served and no one at the lunch was any the wiser..
Susan, Northbridge. (Sorry Deb)
I have 9312 chickens, a dog and I am getting a budgie.
If only we treated each other as well as we treat our pets!
Rob + Yuki (+ Joe + Marvin, our 2 Maltese terriers!)
Wonderful, quirky exhibits. Love the mix of old & new & the opportunity to interact. Love animals, have 2 cats at present Mme. Bonnie & M. Clyde. Really desperate to acquire another dog.
Well done to everyone who put the exhibition together. Jan.
Anne from Dubbo (back again). Love the exhibition especially all the old photos, old news articles, etc. Love the photos by Natalie McComos and the In Memoriam section. Very funny comments from taxidermist saying people want their pet to look happy or alert- I can relate to this! LOL! I buried my cat in the largest pot plant I could find and planted lavender on top. I was renting and could not bury my cat in the yard (and I don't believe in cremation). Cast can travel with me in the pot plant and the lavender grows very well (treated with love) Good Work. Well done Geoff.
I have a Boston terrier called Winston. He's black and white with a little bit of brindle. His tongue is always a centimetre out of his mouth, and he's scared of milk crates. The best trick he can do is take the lid off a soda bottle, no matter how tight. Scott.
Absolutely loved it!!
I'm a big animal person, (I want to be a vet), so this was a fantastic opportunity for me. I have a pomeranian called 'Tootsie'. We have had her for about 6 years, but before that she lived at a house up the road.
Thanks for the great exhibit! The animal cruelty section really saddens me.....
Excellent exhibit, wish it was permanent!!

With love from Sally, Clint & Burt the dog with the biggest ears and the shortest legs in the world!! He's also very hairy.
I had a dog named Picasso. He died yesterday. He loved to play, eat, get cuddles and attention. I love you PICASSO!!
You will be in my memories.
We have a cocker spaniel named Bonny. She likes to "window surf" as we call it; window surfing involves Bonny leaning out the car window as far as she can, ears flapping and nose sniffing like mad. Bonny is about 7 years old now, although when she was young and on one of her regular window surfs she got a little carried away and jumped out of the car window while it was still moving! From then on we decided that someone should hold Bonny securely when she next attempted window surfing.
It's a wonderful exhibition.
Very enjoyable, moving, good for children. Thank you.

I lived in Paddington with my cat, Pierre, a white & tabby. He had a friend who lived down the lane called Evan, I then met my partner and we moved to an apartment in Double Bay. We had a park beside our apartment and Pierre was a hunter. He often brought rats in that were almost the size of him. He loved the house/park. We lived here 12 mths then moved to Woollahra. There were 2 other cats living in the house, Ginger & Gray Malcolm, both big toms. We tried to keep Pierre in, though he ran away everytime to get back to the Double Bay spot. My husband brings him home, sometimes with customers in his taxi. Pierre was a beautiful cat.
Libby.
My budgie Pricka has many wildbird friends from living on my flat balcony. Marcel.
