Government House: image galleries
Government House - the principal state house of New South Wales - is a dynamic house which balances State use and public access. In one day there may be several changes: from a vice-regal function to guided tours, to an education program and then back again. In the evening the house may need to be set up for a cultural program, or a reception for a major Australian charity. Behind the scenes, a dedicated team of curators, conservators, gardeners, florists, maintenance and hospitality staff and guides work round the clock to ensure the highest standards of house presentation, customer service and hospitality.
These image galleries will take you behind the scenes at Government House into a world of meticulous planning and immaculate detail where every minute is accounted for, every movement mapped, and every detail of protocol discussed.
