Convict life at Elizabeth Farm
In this immersive program, children experience life as an assigned convict at Elizabeth Farm. They re-create the dramatic sea voyage to Sydney from England and learn about recycling colonial style. They are also challenged to unlock the mystery of the Macarthurs’ three mattresses. Students examine the consequences of the proclamation of terra nullius, handle indigenous plants and learn of Aboriginal people’s special relationship with the land.
Available from Term 2 onward
Prepare your group for a visit with 'Excursion Introductions'. These introductions are suitable for teachers of children with ASD in integrated classrooms.
