I hope that all of you will take the opportunity to attend this year’s AGM at the Museum of Sydney on Wednesday 24 September. This year we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Friends of the Historic Houses Trust and showcase many of the wonderful projects that members have helped to fund over the past 20 years. We will also take this opportunity to farewell Peter Watts, who retires this year as HHT Director, after 27 years at the helm. During this period, Peter has played a vital role in the growth and development of the HHT Members.

Your overwhelming support for our Member’s events program means that many of the activities advertised in this newsletter will sell out within a very short time. However, there are waiting lists for events and we do endeavour to repeat the walks and tours so that everyone on the waiting list will have the chance to enjoy our very popular program. Thank you for your patience, it is very much appreciated by staff and volunteers here at the office.

Finally, if you plan to visit one of our museums or exhibitions and suddenly realise that your membership has lapsed, don’t despair. Staff at the museums will happily renew your membership on the spot so that you can gain free admission.

The Historic Houses Trust Members is a volunteer organisation and registered charity. Our aim is to promote public interest in the HHT's properties, organise events and raise funds for their conservation.
