Our Governors are the lifeblood of the Foundation. Their generous and sustained support allows the HHT to take on projects that simply wouldn’t otherwise be feasible. As we receive no direct funding for acquisitions in particular, HHT Governors are vitally important if we are to grow our collections and continue our extensive exhibition, acquisition and education programs.
Supported projects
With the support of the Foundation Governors, the HHT has:
- acquired rare and special furniture, artworks and artefacts that were once part of HHT properties
- saved and preserved ‘at risk’ pieces in HHT collections
- developed and enhanced the unique collection of the Caroline Simpson Library & Research Collection
- published award-winning books on Australian decorative arts, artists and social history
- undertaken extensive conservation works at HHT properties.
