The Tank Stream is a rare surviving link with the historically important nexus between pre and post-contact European settlement. It served as the settlement’s first and main source of fresh water for 30 years. The stream was one of the most important factors responsible for determining the location of the first permanent European settlement in Australia.

Available only twice a year, these special tours take visitors underground along a length of the stream hidden under our city.

The next tour will be in November as part of Sydney open 2010.
