An ongoing series exploring Sydney’s historic public art.

The Domain, Art Gallery and Mrs Macquarie's Chair

Take a closer look at the public works of 19th and 20th century artists and discover elements of classical and modern design in the Domain and neighbouring precincts. Highlights include the statue of the Scottish poet Robert Burns by F.W. Pomeroy, the neo-classical design of the Art Gallery of NSW, the bronze sculptures by Gilbert Bayes and Henry Moore, the statue of Henry Lawson by G.W. Lambert, and the inscription at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair.
