SAW 03 Harbourings

Wandering west through the city’s gritty industrial heritage, we will seek out surprising contemporary projects in and around the historic context of The Rocks. Focusing on the dramatic family of century-old finger wharves at Walsh Bay, recently converted into a residential and cultural precinct. SAW 03 asks – what does the harbour mean to Sydney; geographically, historically and architecturally.

Each hour of participation in this activity may contribute to the annual informal CPE requirements for architect’s registration.

We walk rain or shine so bring a sun hat, umbrella, raincoat, camera, sketch book etc.

Elizabeth Farrelly, The Sydney Morning Herald

The Sydney Architecture Walks are the urban equivalent of stopping to smell the roses. It has changed how I feel about my adopted hometown - revealed a depth I never thought it had and shown me the link between architecture and cultural expression.
Kylie Davis, Sydney Morning Herald
